PRINCIPAL INFORMATION
I am currently contracted at Calliope State School until September 17, 2021. At this stage, Moira McKenzie will return in term 4. I will continue to update you as I am given further details.
LANGUAGES (JAPANESE)
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer Japanese in Semesters 2, 2021 at this stage. Our current Languages teachers is making some changes to her teaching arrangement and we have been unable to source a replacement. During the time that the students have previously accessed Languages, they will be working with our Pedagogy teacher focusing other curriculum-based learning areas.
LOST PROPERTY
We currently have a large collection of Lost Property in the basket outside the office. We encourage parents to come and look through the basket for any lost items from your family.
CONTACT DETAILS
Next week on Thursday, Report Cards will be emailed out to every family. Please ensure you have updated your email address if any changes have been made in the last six months. If you require a paper copy of the Report Card, please contact the office on 4975 8333.
EARLY COLLECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL
Updated procedure: Please come to the office to sign your child out. You will be given an ‘Early Departure Slip’ and will then be required to go to your child/ren’s classroom to collect them and take them home.

Student Code of Conduct
Below is a matrix that we have recently added to our Student Code of Conduct to provide clarity to the whole school community about different behaviours, the definition of these behaviours and examples of ‘Minor’ and ‘Major’ behaviours.

Congratulations to 6C & 2C who had an amazing attendance rate for Week 8. Their attendance rate was 97.5% for the week! Also congratulations to the 2 classes which were at or above our school attendance target of 94% for Week 8.
Remember, every day you are away is a learning day lost.

Congratulations to Carter and Jordan on being the Under 11s Age Champions at the Country Coast Athletics Carnival on Friday.

Tuckshop News
Tuckshop operates both breaks, Tuesday to Friday each week. Order through the QKR! app.
WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE. Our tuckshop is looking for parents or community members to help prepare our kids meals each day. If you or someone you know can volunteer some time, please chat to Lisa in the Tuckshop, or email us at pandc@calliopess.eq.edu.au
Uniform Shop Update
Please message our Facebook Page or email uniformshop.calliopess@gmail.com with any uniform shop enquiries. Jumpers and jackets are in stock for the cooler months. Get in to order now to guarantee your size preference.
Uniform orders made on QKR will be filled within 3 days of ordering by our volunteers. Thank you for your patience as we distribute your orders.

Commonwealth school banking is finishing at the end of this term.
The Queensland Government has decided to discontinue school banking programs in Queensland government schools from 31 July 2021. As a result, the CommBank School Banking program will no longer operate at our school after the end of this term. If you are unsure of other methods of depositing to your child’s account, please feel free to contact the Bank’s general enquiries hotline on 13 2221 or alternatively visit your local CommBank branch.
If your child is eligible to receive a reward, please notify our School Banking Co-ordinator, Cathy Mackie prior to Thursday 24 June 2021.
