Welcome back to all our families and welcome to our new families. It has been wonderful to see our students arrive back with their smiling faces. On Tuesday there were a few anxious moments as we become familiar with our new classrooms and environments. Students have now settled well into their classrooms for 2025.
Last Thursday staff worked with Robyn from Kagan Structures. This was our second Kagan workshop with a strong focus on quite a few new structures that staff can use with students to continue the great work we commenced last year. Again, there was a focus on class building and team building activities to get synergy happening in our classroom to ensure the highest level of learning for all students.
This year our school also continues our journey in using the Resilience Project Wellbeing Program as a resource. The program is emotionally engaging, practical, and proven to have impact through evidence-based evaluations. The Resilience Project is embedded in the Australian Curriculum. Students will continue to use the journals, which focus on gratitude, empathy and mindfulness. Last year our P&C purchased a family journal for each family to use. We will be seeking feedback from families on this initiative.
School Uniform
As well as seeing the beautiful smiles of our students back at school, it was wonderful to also see all our students in complete uniform. Some of our girls had beautiful matching blue and yellow bows in the hair. Thank you to all parents/caregivers on making this happen. A copy of our Student Dress Code is attached.
New Staff
We welcome the following new staff to our school:
Kat Hiskens-Ravest 2B

Year 6 Leadership Presentation Parade
All Year 6 parents would have received an invitation to our ceremony on Friday the 14 Febrary at 9.15am in the hall, to present badges to our 2025 leaders, as well as Seniors badges and certificates to our whole Year 6 cohort. This parade will be a special parade to outline the importance of being a Year 6 student at CSS and the expectations around this-setting the scene for the year ahead. As part of this ceremony, all Year 6 students will recite a leadership oath.
