Welcome to Week 7! This weeks focus is ‘Playing Safely- Rocks & Sticks’. It’s extremely important that both our students and staff are safe while attending school. This weeks lesson looks at how to play safely, particularly with rocks and sticks. The lesson clearly outlines with a and a what is clearly safe and unsafe behaviour. Below are two students that were role playing with gems and were pretending to buy and sell from each other.

This is an example of safe play with rocks. Digging in the gully with a small stick with small movements in the dirt is another example of safe play. Using sticks and rocks to hurt others- hitting or throwing them is very unsafe.
