Wizard of Oz

Today is an exciting day for 150 students heading into the Gladstone Entertainment Centre (GEC) to watch the combined schools musical- Wizard of Oz. We are excited to see our very own Charlize performing on the big stage! Don’t forget to book your tickets with the GEC.

P&C AGM

This evening at 6:00pm in the Administration Conference Room, the P&C will be holding their Annual General Meeting. At this meeting, all executive positions will be declared vacant and a new committee appointed. The P&C is a vital component of our school representing the parent voice and providing many supports to our students and school community including fundraising, the tuckshop and uniform shop. Please get involved and support this great committee. Meetings are held once a month.

Prep Vision Screening Program

In 2020, our Prep students will have the opportunity to have their vision screened by a Primary School Health Nurse. Parent consent forms have been sent home with all Prep students and they need to be returned by Wednesday 25 March 2020 in the envelope provided. Late forms will not be able to be accepted. Our screening days will commence on Monday 18 May 2020.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Please keep an eye out for your child’s Parent Teacher Interview booking form coming home this week. The interviews will generally be conducted before and after school in Week 10. At the meeting, your child’s teacher will provide you with an overview of their academic progress and also their behaviour and attendance. Be advised that interim reports will not be sent home in Terms 1 and 3, so don’t miss this opportunity to talk with your child’s teacher.

Year 5 and 6 Camps

A reminder for Year 5 and 6 families that camp deposits are due this Friday, to secure a place for your child on camp. After this date, a waitlist will be developed.

Playgrounds

A reminder that before and after school, playgrounds are not to be used by students. All students unless with their adult are to be in the designated areas before school which are supervised by school staff (the oval from 8:30am).

FFF- Sundaes

It was a wet but great FFF with 365 students (over half our student population) making ice-cream sundaes to celebrate their achievement of completing their stamp charts.

Crazy Hair Day

This Friday, 13 March students are encouraged to come with coloured hair (and a gold coin donation) to support the Blood Cancer research. Mrs Jess Switzer, will also be shaving her hair as part of the event, fundraising for their important organisation.
