Week 6 PBL Focus Lesson: Participate to best of your ability
The lesson involves being a learner and unpacking how this looks in the classroom in order to participate to the best of one’s ability. Classes will create a brainstorm web to display in the classroom for the week. What does it look like when a student chooses to participate to the best of their ability? Unpack this with your children.
Teachers use the Learning Re-engagement Flow Chart to guide the steps they use with disengaged students in the classroom. There are a number of steps followed by teachers to re-engage students, before calling the Student Learning & Wellbeing Team (SL@WT teachers) to assist. Over the next couple of weeks, we will pull apart and explain in depth parts of this flow chart. We will also link elements of the Calliope State School Student Code of Conduct (SCOC) to explain each element further.
