At the end of last term, we had our annual Cross Country. Well done to all the students who participated! Thank you for all the wonderful support from Calliope SS staff and our Helping Hands staff.

Last Friday some of our students competed at the Port Curtis Cross Country at Benaraby. Well done to all the students who represented our school and achieved great times on their runs. A big congratulations to our Sienna's for placing Second and Third in their age group. They will now compete at the Capricornia trials next month. Go Girls!

In Term 2, we have a very busy few weeks ahead getting back into our Athletic events. Students will be participating in running, jumping and throwing events during lessons leading up to the Athletics carnival. Our School Athletics carnival will be held on Friday of Week 6. The finals for the long jump and shot put will be held on the day of the carnival along with 100M and 200M heats and finals. The finals for the 800M run, high jump and discus events will take place on the Thursday before.

A separate carnival will be held on Tuesday Week 6 for Prep's and Wednesday Week 6 for Year 1 and Year 2's. Parents are welcome to attend the athletic carnivals and more details will be advertised closer to the date.
