What's Happening in the Library
After much anticipation Book Week has finally arrived!
This year’s theme is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.
Over the past 6 weeks, Prep to Year 3 students have been reading the shortlisted books in their library lessons. We have discussed how text and illustrations work together to create meaning. We have analysed the setting, characters, conflict and resolutions within the stories and best of all we have voted for our favourite book!
There are plenty of activities happening this week for students and parents to enjoy.
Pyjama Read-a-Long is happening tomorrow night, Wednesday 25 August 5.30 – 6.30pm. Come along with mum or dad to share a story. The P&C will be providing milo and biscuits. |
Book Fair is continuing in the library until Friday. We are open from 8.30- 9.00am for parents and students and again during the first lunch break. We will also be open on Wednesday night from 5.00 – 6.-30pm if you would like to buy a book to read at the pyjama read-a-long. |
Dress up parade will be happening this Friday. Students are invited to come along dressed as their favourite book character. Remember that costumes must be sun safe and appropriate for school. |
