Gladstone STEM Cluster Robotics Competition Results

Last week, students from the Calliope State School Robotics Teams participated in the annual Gladstone STEM Cluster Robotics Competition at Clinton State School. Competing against other primary school-aged teams as well as high school teams, the students of Calliope State School Robotics returned with impressive results.

Advanced Teams

- The Mumma's Boyz (Liam, Xander, Kyden, Nathan) - Most Improved Award

- The Last Nerds (Chelsea, Skylah, Charlotte, Riplee, Matilda) - Robot Design Award and Best Team Spirit Award

Beginner Teams

- CSS Team 4 (Ryker, Trace, Mia, Chelsea, Jacinda) – Overall Points Champion

- Freddy Team (Hailee, Chloe, Andrea) – Most Improved Award

- CSS Team 2 – (Pheobe, Gabrielle, Penelope, Daisy, Isla) – Acknowledgment of Country Award

While not all teams returned with an award, all of the Calliope State School teams represented their team and the school with gracious professionalism and have walked away from the competition with a little more experience under their belts. A huge thank you to the coordinators of the Gladstone STEM Cluster Group for inviting Calliope State School to participate for another year and to the Industry Mentors from the Gladstone Region who provided guidance to the teams on the day of competition. Thank you to Ms Crookey who supervised and supported students at the competition.
