In Term 2, we are very excited about getting back into our Athletic events after a very quiet (COVID challenged) year last year. Our School Athletics carnival for Years 3-6 will be held on Friday of Week 6 so we have a very busy few weeks ahead. Students will be participating in running, jumping and throwing events leading up to the carnival. The 800M run, high jump and discus competition will be ran during class time and lunch breaks. The finals for the long jump and shot put will be held on the day of the carnival along with 100M and 200M heats and finals. A separate carnival will be held on Tuesday Week 6 for Year 1 and 2 and Wednesday Week 6 for Preps. Parents are welcome to attend the athletic carnivals and more details will be advertised closer to the date. If there is any parents with their Little Athletic Level 1 Community Coach training who would like to volunteer their time during athletic events this term please contact Mrs Betts at cbett49@eq.edu.au
