PBL Focus – Keeping Our Hands and Feet to Ourselves
This week, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus is on keeping our hands and feet to ourselves. Students are learning that safe and respectful behaviour means using our bodies in positive ways – for playing games, helping friends, and showing care. By keeping our hands and feet to ourselves, we show respect for personal space, help everyone feel safe, and create a positive environment where all students can enjoy their learning and playtime.
G.E.M. Focus – Gratitude
G.E.M. Focus – Kindness
This week in our Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness (G.E.M.) program, students are focusing on kindness. They were encouraged to reflect on how they have been kind throughout the day, what actions they took, and how those actions made them – and others – feel. By recognising the positive impact of small acts of kindness, students learn that their choices can brighten someone else’s day while also boosting their own sense of happiness and connection.
Whole Class Stamp Charts
Congratulations to 5A, 2C and 5/6C for completing their Whole Class Stamp Charts by the end of Week 8!
We have now completed our Whole School Celebration target!!
Your hard work and teamwork have helped bring our school total to 20 completed charts. What an incredible effort from everyone – We will be having extended play in Week 2 of Term 4 as our celebration!
Watch this space for our growing tally.
The Biggest Catch
This week in the biggest catch, 2C, 5A, 5B, Prep B, 2B and 4A have filled the most Individual Stamp Charts. Congratulations!!!
It’s our way of celebrating how many individual stamp charts each class completes.
Think of each filled chart as a part of a fish—the more completed charts, the bigger the fish will be.
At Calliope State School we all swim together.
Celebrating Positive Behaviour at Calliope State School
We are proud to share the growth in positive behaviour across our school. By Week 8 of Term 3 this year, students had already achieved 724 positive behaviour acknowledgements, compared to 505 at the same point last year. Along with this, we have celebrated students through 131 awards, 67 mentions in Good Newsletters, and 3 positive contacts home.
These results highlight the fantastic effort our students are putting into showing our school values every day. We look forward to seeing these numbers continue to grow as we work together to celebrate positive choices and achievements.
