Principal News

This Friday is Bullying No Way! day and students are encouraged to wear orange to acknowledge this day. The theme for this year is “Be bold. Be Kind. Speak up” The theme for 2025 is 'Be bold. Be kind. Speak up.'

It takes courage to spark change.

Bullying is everyone's responsibility. It takes a community to be brave and address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.

Students can be bold, kind and take a stand to support others being bullied. While parents and teachers are there to support children and young people learn how to behave in a positive way.

In our community and in our school, we want a place where everyone can belong, a place that celebrates everyone, and where bullying is never accepted.

This Bullying No Way Week, we're asking students, schools, families and communities to be bold and say something, be kind and support someone, and be proud to take a stand against bullying.

Book Week 2025

Next Friday is our Book Week Dress Up Celebration Day. All students are encouraged to come along next Friday, dressed as their favourite book character. This year’s theme is Book an Adventure. The poster adjacent is from CBCA and the illustrator is Jess McGeachin. Jess has captured the adventurous spirit in his artwork. We are looking forward to see all students come dressed as their favourite book character next week.

Help Shape our School – complete the School Opinion Survey

We have had 44 parents respond to our survey so far.  That equates to 13.2% of surveys sent out. Student responses are at 89.5% and staff are at 60%. Please take time to complete the survey. Your opinion and voice are important to shaping our school. You should have received a special letter from us with a tea bag reminder.  Please take the time to share your opinion about the school your child/children attend so we can celebrate what we are doing well and make plans to improve.

The survey closes on 22 August. Parents, carers, students in selected year levels, and staff have been emailed a link to participate. Your feedback will help us understand our school’s strengths and areas for improvement. Survey responses are confidential. Find out more on the School Opinion Survey webpage or contact school administration.

As a school we use the School Opinion Survey Data to shape our Annual Implementation Plan. We need to know what we are doing well and what we need to work more on, so that our focus is on the right work to create the best learning environment for your children. Please take the time to complete this survey.  In 2024 only 20.3% of our parents and Caregivers participated in the survey. Only 70 parents/caregivers opinions contributed towards the work we are focussed on. You should now have your invitation. Please watch out for this email. The survey is now open.
