In 3C this term, we have been learning about Fractions in Mathematics. We have been discussing whole, half, quarters and eighths. We have also learnt about denominators. As a practical exercise we created a pizza shop. Students could purchase fractions of pizzas. We used a cash register and also practised our money skills. Students took turns as the cashier and the customer and receiving money and giving out change. 

We have also designed our own pizza for Design Technology, so there is a bit of a theme happening!  This week we are starting our Science experiments. We have been learning about Solids, Liquids and Gases. Our first process is Heat, so we are looking forward to conducting some of these real world experiments. 

In English we are learning about Persuasive Writing and have been engaged in some topics, for example, what is the best pet to have and why? We also did a Pair Share Kagan Rally about our favourite children's movies and reasons why. We have a busy term of learning ahead!
