PBL Focus
This week students are revising ‘Working as a Team’. Students will be looking at the Top 10 Tips for Being a Good Teammate and practising team roles. At its core, PBL emphasises teaching and reinforcing cooperative behaviours—when students work as a team, they develop respect, responsibility, and social skills that support everyone’s success. By establishing clear expectations for group cooperation—such as shared goals, roles, and mutual accountability— Calliope State School uses teamwork to foster positive interdependence and improve behaviour outcomes. When families and schools deliver consistent messages about teamwork and collaboration, students thrive in a supportive environment that boosts their learning, wellbeing and school engagement.

Whole Class Stamp Charts
Congratulations to Prep B, 1C and 5B! Your incredible efforts have filled your Whole Class Stamp Charts—well done!
We’re introducing a new way to celebrate the whole school: instead of fixing a deadline, we’ll now hold a Whole School Celebration every time 20 class stamp charts are completed. That means each class can continue collecting stamps at their own pace—no rush, just success. This softer timeline allows every class to work towards their goal without pressure and ensures celebrations feel earned. It’s all about consistency, teamwork and giving each class the chance to shine! Stamp or sticker charts are a proven positive reinforcement tool. As children see their chart filling, they gain motivation and a clear visual of their progress—boosting engagement and supporting positive behaviour growth in the classroom.
The Biggest Catch
It’s our way of celebrating how many stamp charts each class completes. Think of each filled chart as a part of a fish—the more completed charts, the bigger the fish will be. At Calliope State School we all swim together.
