On Monday Calliope SS took a boy’s and a girls’ team to compete at the Port Curtis AFL Gala Day. It was a fun day of AFL and Calliope students demonstrated impressive game skills.

The girl’s AFL team won all their games, then played their Grand Final against Boyne Island SS. It was a tough game, but our girls had the grit and determination to take the win by just one point. The girls’ team will now travel to Rockhampton next term to compete in the Regional Finals. Go girls!

Last Friday our Calliope SS Athletes competed at the Country Coast Zone Athletic trials. Calliope SS students were very competitive. Congratulations to Evan, Kai and Tane for winning Age Champion! Many of these athletes will now compete at the PC Athletic trials next term.
