3C have had a fun Term 3!  

Our English unit has been about examining stories from a different perspective. We have been busy writing a retell of The Lorax from a different perspective of another character in the text. This week our task is to prepare and present a spoken retell from the perspective of our chosen character to an audience using our vocal techniques of tone, pace, pause, pitch and volume including facial expression and body gesture. We have been having a lot of fun rehearsing and are now ready for presentation this week.

In Maths, we have been learning about Time, Money and Measurement. This week we are showing our knowledge in a challenge assignment of Leisure Land Fair.

In Science, we have been investigating how heat moves from one object to another through our inquiry questions of “What happens to the hotness of the spoon when we change the materials the spoon is made of?” and “What happens to the temperature of water when the amount of heated coins added to the water is changed?” Just like a scientist, we have conducted the investigations, recorded our observations into tables and shown it on a data graph where we are now analysing the results.
