Positive Behaviour Learning
The Positive Behaviour for Learning lesson this week is: Responsible – I use my words, not my body. With almost 700 students in the playground at break time it’s not uncommon for students to bump into each other. When this happens, we need to remember to use our words and not our body. Ways to help reduce potential clashes include:
- Remembering that by using our words and not our bodies we avoid getting into trouble;
- Walking on the concrete towards the oval. This will help ensure our bodies are calm and we stay safe;
- If we bump into someone, remembering that accidents happen and that the person most likely did not mean it;
- And if a situation develops, remember to say, “Stop. I don’t like it.” From here, walk away and tell a teacher.
Fantastic Fun Friday is on this Friday and the theme is Hollywood Red Carpet! Students can dress as their favourite celebrity, character from a TV show or book, or their favourite story. Alternatively, they can also just wear free dress and be Paparazzi. There will be a photo frame up in the Undercroft in the morning and lots of pictures will be taken so be sure to join in the fun.
Also, Calliope News on Facebook every Tuesday at 9.00am so please check it out.
Have a great week
Thanks.
