This Term: Crafting and Learning in the Classroom

So far this term, our students dove into the exciting world of procedure writing! As part of their learning journey, they explored the essential elements of crafting clear and concise instructions. To bring their learning to life, students have been making and building items in the classroom.

Students have been brainstorming ideas and breaking down the steps needed to complete their projects. Whether it was designing a simple recipe, making a chatterbox, or creating a piece of art, they focused on clarity and detail to ensure anyone could follow their instructions.

The highlight of this unit was the hands-on experience! Once their procedure drafts were finalised throughout lessons so far, students eagerly gathered materials and put their plans into action. Watching their written procedures transform into tangible creations has been a rewarding experience, fostering teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.

In the end, students have showcased their projects, demonstrating not only their newly acquired writing skills but also their ability to collaborate and innovate. It was a fantastic way to combine learning with creativity, and our students now have a deeper appreciation for the art of procedure writing!
