Hi Families

Firstly, we would like to thank Ang, Michelle, Danielle, Aimee, Crystal, Leanne, Heidi, Sarah and Jason who gave up there day to help in the “pop tuckshop” on Friday. Friday was a fun day with so many smiling faces and congratulation to the winning house.

Did you know the P&C covers the cost of transportation for the students to attend camps, excursions and extra-curricular events such as strings and choir.

Currently the P&C are fundraising towards transportation cost for the Year 6 to attend their camp. So, if you are a parent of a year 6 student or other grades and have an hour spare on Sunday 16^th June, please put your name down to help with the Bunnings sausage sizzle.

The sizzle will commence at 9am and we will be cooking through until 4pm. We need volunteers for the following time periods.

• 9am -11am (Serving)
• 11am -12 lunch (Cooking)
• 12- 1pm (Serving)
• 3.30pm -4.30pm (clean up and back down)

No volunteer mandatory training required or be a P&C member to help with this event.

If you can’t spare an hour, and you are in town, pop by and grab a famous Bunnings Snags and support our schools P&C in doing great things for our kids.

Last night we held our monthly P&C meeting. Again, it was great to see more new faces and membership. At last nights meeting, many topics were discussed from road safety updates, possible prep uniform change to assist with identification and a safety concern, Senior and Staff Shirts along with an in-depth update from the school leadership team about positive improvements and initiatives they have planned for the school. We can’t wait to see what is installed in the months to come.

Word is out… Calliope State School was successful in being approved for a new tuckshop funded by the government. This is very exciting news for our wonderful tuckshop convenors Lisa and Mel. As it progresses, we will keep the school community updated.

Next Friday is end of term picnic. There will be a change to the tuckshop menu offering some wonderful meal deals on first break.

• 6 Chicken nugget meal deal - $6.50
• Cheeseburger Meal Deal - $6.50
• Chicken Burger Meal Deal - $7.50
• Hot Dog Meal Deal - $ 8.50
• Pizza Meal Deal - $7.00

 Head over to the QKR app to see what is included in each meal deal, trust me there is something for everyone. Parents are also able to order there lunch via QKR.
