On Friday Calliope Chaos and Calliope Crowns took the diamond to play in a gala softball day. Having never have played before, both teams were very nervous and watched the first game to get the idea. Huge thanks go to the Shanna and Brendan who assisted by coaching the Crowns. It was a spectacle to behold as Calliope soon grasped the idea of the game and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We ended up with a mixed bag of results, wins, losses and draws. At the end of the day Mrs Smith-Ashton could not have been more proud of the Calliope students, approaching each game with enthusiasm and zest as well as great sportsmanship.

We now have three students, Summer, Harry D and Ruby H, representing Port Curtis in softball.
