Hi everyone! With our AGM less than two weeks away, now is a great time to start thinking about how you wish to be involved in your child/ren’s school. Being a P&C member is a great way to keep informed with what is happening around our school and decisions being made for our school and students. Becoming a member doesn’t require you to make a commitment but means you’ll receive the minutes from our meetings in your inbox and you’re in control how involved you want to be. Membership forms for 2024 are available at the office and we strongly encourage you to consider joining us this year.

If you have a stronger desire to make a difference around our school, you might want to consider taking on an official role within the team. At the AGM all positions are declared vacant, are open for nominations and an executive committee must be elected. Roles available for your consideration include; President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Grants Officer, Fundraising Officer and Communications Officer. If your commitment comfort level lies somewhere between general member and executive role, we’re always looking for members to be involved in our working groups. These small but mighty teams are committed to continuing the improvement or our wonderful school and include:

• Fundraising team
• Year 5/6 working group
• Tuckshop and Uniform shop
• SafeST working group

You don’t need to be present at the AGM to have your membership and/or nomination forms accepted. So, to get involved, please collect a form from the office and pop it into the P&C lock box located in the office also.

We hope all our students attending the Combined Schools Musical; The Little Mermaid, enjoy their excursion on Thursday. We are proud to have funded the transportation costs to and from the GECC for this amazing opportunity to support our own amazing students performing and also all the students in the greater Gladstone region. Chookas to all!!
