P & C News
Hi everyone! Last night we held our first P&C meeting for the year. It was so wonderful to see everyone there! We heard from the Leadership team, our Grants Officer and our Communications Officer. The cohesiveness of our one big team is so wonderful and the students benefit from this immensely. We had a lot of discussion about future events and set about planning dates and details for an election sausage sizzle, Mother’s Day stall and other future fundraisers. We also discussed the excursions and camps coming up this year and pledged our sponsorship of transportations costs for these. Our next meeting will be our AGM which will be held on Tuesday 19th of March at 5pm in the Admin building. At this meeting all positions are vacated and nominations will be open for executive positions of; President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. As well as non-executive committee roles of; communication officer, grants officer and members of working groups for fundraising, tuckshop & uniform shop and road safety. Memberships will be accepted at the AGM also. We are still seeking volunteers for the tuckshop. Here are some tasks that need to be completed through the stated times of the day. If you could spare any of these times on a Tuesday through to Friday (Friday is definitely our busiest day), please reach out as we would love to have you!
- 8:15-9:00am Breakfast Club; making cups of cereal & milk, pouring juice, cutting up fruit.
- 9:00-10:00am Basic food prep; cutting fruit and vegetables
- 10:00-11:00am Making up Snack and Custard Cups
- 10:30-11:00am Packing lunches into class tubs
- 11:15-Noon Washing dishes
You can put your name down for just one task at the time and day that suits you; then you’re out the door. All tasks are under the supervision of our wonderful Tuckshop Convenor, Lisa, so you won’t ever be thrown in the deep end without direction. We really do have such a great team, who are very welcoming and are always up for a laugh.
