What's happening in 4A!
4A have been working as a team to learn all sorts of concepts. In English, we have been diving into Traditional Asian stories. Students have enjoyed listening to and reading these stories, as well as identify word types in these texts.
In STEM, we have enjoyed practising our multiplication and learning about types of forces. We have been working on a carnival game in groups where we are learning about likelihood, forces and design, which links with our Maths, Science and Technology units. The students have come up with some fantastic ideas to make it harder to get the top prize, including adding more or less friction, more or less surface area or more or less push or pull forces.
Kagan Collaborative Learning and The Resilience Project are very much part of our classroom culture. These are referred to constantly in our daily routine. We have made a collage of all of the things we are grateful for and this is part of our GEM chats as well. Our emotional literacy took us on a hilarious journey using the Ipads to model and label emotions we know and new ones we have learnt. We are also about to start creating a tree of gratitude and success that will used to daily in our routine.
