Week 9 is upon us and the Positive Behaviour for Learning lesson this week is: Respectful – How to solve a problem with my friend. As young children develop they will go through different social and friendship groups and the transitions may not always be smooth. It is for this reason that they need to be taught problem solving skills to help solve issues that are bound to occur. Some of these skills include:

• Using Talk, Walk, Squawk and developing the resilience to say, “Stop it. I don’t like it”;
• Knowing that it is okay to like different activities;
• Understanding that it’s okay to spend time apart and to play with other children without becoming jealous; and,
• Being aware of our own triggers and knowing when to walk away before things escalate.

Please take a moment to go over this with your child/children.

Fantastic Fun Friday is on this Friday in classrooms across the school. Each class should have decided on their reward activity for completing their Stamp Chart this term so please remind your child/children to get their Stamp Chart in to the office so they can join in the fun.
