What's happening in 2B!
In Science this term, we have been exploring how a push or a pull affects how a toy moves. We began with a hands-on investigation of different kinds of toys to observe how they move. Each student chose a toy, observed how it moved and shared their answer with the class. For example, they may have chosen a spinner and discovered that it moves with a push.
After examining a range of materials, we moved on to planning a toy that moves with a push or pull. The ideas that 2B came up with represented their scientific observations in a variety of ways! The construction and testing phases provided many opportunities to ask questions, communicate ideas and have fun. Please ask your child to tell you about the toy they made and how it moves. I am sure they would love to share what they have been learning with you (if they haven't already).
