Principal's Message
Welcome to Week Ten. It was great to see our amazing families last week interact with our classrooms and have a picnic on our lawn. Our Friday Dance group have moved to under the Undercroft and it was beautiful to see parents join in the dancing. Thanks to all parents/caregivers, especially the dads I saw join in. It is times like this that makes Calliope State School the great school that it is. Friday will be our last day of term. I wish every family from our school community a safe holiday and rest from school routine and look forward to seeing all students back next term.
Student Code of Conduct
Each week I focus on an aspect of Calliope’s Student Code of Conduct. This week the focus is Cybersafety and Reputation Management (CRM)
The Department of Education employs a dedicated team of experts to assist in maintaining the integrity of the department's reputation with regards to cybersafety and reputation management issues, effectively leading the development and implementation of departmental cybersafety processes.
This team provides direct support for schools to respond to concerns of inappropriate online behaviour and misuse of information and communication technology.
The team provides a guide for parents with important information about cybersafety and cyberbullying, and suggestions about what you can do if your child is a target or responsible for inappropriate online behaviour.
