Hi everyone! Well that’s a wrap on our Pie and Lamington drive for this year. Thanks to everyone who supported this very tasty fundraiser! And a huge thank you to Lizzy’s Bakehouse for their amazing support and their wonderful assistance in getting all the pies to our families!

Best of luck to all the students performing in the upcoming Instrumental Eisteddfod! We are very pleased to have been able to subsidise the travel costs associated with getting our little musicians to the GECC for this wonderful performance opportunity.

We held our monthly P&C meeting last night. It was so great to see some new faces and welcome a new member. We spoke about 2024 senior shirts and some exciting new fundraising opportunities.  Our leadership team gave us an update about things that are coming up around the school and informed us of some changes to the way the school will be reporting some aspects of our student’s progress in order to improve parent engagement. We also spoke about some of the many community grants on offer at the moment and about particular projects throughout our school that could benefit from these. Our amazing Grants Officer, Celisa, will be working hard on these over the next few months to try secure us some funds for specific uses and projects around the school for our children. We were also fortunate to have a local artist, Katrina Elliot, come along to tell us about some exciting Arts opportunities that our school could try get involved in. It was so wonderful to have a member of our wider community wanting to involve our students in community programs. Katrina has a Calliope Public Art Survey open, we will endeavour to pop this up on our Facebook page, for anyone who wishes to partake in this.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday September 12^th, we would love to see you there and hear your opinions on similar topics that arise for discussion.
