PBL Weekly Lesson

This week students are focusing on using items and objects appropriately. All classes are going to look at:

Students are not to be walking around with or throw sticks or rocks, but can build with these in the gully. If you wish to have a copy of the PowerPoint that the students will be engaging in to reinforce at home, please email jxran4@eq.edu.au.

Cyber Safety

In Week 1 and 2 of Term 3, all classes will complete a cyber safety activity about these 2 ideals: 

• We do not share personal information
• We need to report to an adult things that are not safe or break the rules.

The 3-step phrase we are teaching the students is “recognise, react and report”. All students are coming home with a small poster outlining this information. Please place this on your fridge or somewhere that can be seen by your child/ren when they are using their technology at home.

There is also a large copy of these in our computer lab and in every classroom. The lessons that the students will be undertaking are adapted from the Daniel Morcombe Child Safety Curriculum. Part of the 5-6 lesson is to answer true or false to these questions in small groups. Feel free to try the quiz yourself.
