Last Friday Calliope State School students competed at the Country Coast Athletic trials in Miriam Vale. It was an action-packed day of athletics with our students bringing home ribbons galore! There were some fantastic results with many of our students advancing to the next stage, the Port Curtis Athletic trials. Well done to Sienna and Jacinta for winning the overall age champions for their age group! Congratulations to all our amazing athletes! We look forward to seeing you compete again next term. Tony Martin Cup Rugby League

Last week our Calliope Rugby League team played their last game in the Tony Martin Cup competition. We came out fourth overall in the competition, only losing two games out of the five.  The boys and girl had a lot of fun and played well as a team. Mrs Donald and Mrs Betts was proud of your efforts and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

A big shout out to Brian who supported Mrs Donald and Mrs Betts to coach the team!
