Last Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon Calliope State School held its Junior Athletic carnivals. We had two fun-filled afternoons of sprints and athletic inspired rotational activities. Mrs Betts would like to give a huge shout out to the amazing Year 6 students who helped her out running stations at the carnivals. She was very impressed of how confident and reliable the older students were. On Thursday and Friday students in Year 3 to Year 6 participated in our school Athletics carnival. It was two great days of athletics and friendly rivalry between our house teams. Mrs Betts was very proud of the efforts and sportsmanship of all our students who took part.

The winning team of the day was Oxley.

Flinders was awarded the Ball Games trophy for the carnival.

Students who are in the 10, 11 and 12 year age group and who placed first and second in their events now have the opportunity to participate in the Country Coast Athletic Champions_1.pngtrials on Friday 16th of June at Miriam Vale State School.

Thank you to our wonderful P&C ladies for providing food and drinks on Friday for our whole school carnival! 

Thank you to our wonderful tuckshop ladies for being very accommodating and supplying lunches to the High Schoolers who did not pack lunches on Thursday!
