Hi everyone! We hope you’re surviving the chilly mornings. Don’t forget the Uniform shop is open Friday mornings 8:30-9:00am (payment via QKR) and is stocked up with jumpers!!

The Mother’s Day Stall was wonderful today. It is always so much fun helping the students select gifts they want to take home to their beloved Mums, caregivers, and even Grandmothers. A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers we had help out at the stall today. A special big thank you goes to our Treasurer Angela Kummerfeld who has really hit the ground running with her new role and taken on the task of arranging the stall this year! Angela is in her 7th year as part of our school community. She spent the first few years helping out in the classrooms and the last couple of years has been regularly volunteering in the tuckshop. Before motherhood Angela was a bookkeeper and we’re so fortunate and grateful that she nominated herself to be the Treasurer this year!

We would like to send out a big thank you to two different local businesses in our community that have recently made donations to the P&C. Thank you so very much to the Billabong Op Shop for their very generous donation of $300!

A big thank you also to Farmyard and Pet Supplies for several donations from their in-store gift line to our Mother’s Day Raffle!

We are so appreciative to have such amazing support from our local business community.

Yesterday evening we had our May meeting. It was great to see a couple of new faces there and better yet a couple of new members! You can join at any of our meetings so come along and check out what it’s all about. You don’t have to leave a meeting with a job, it is a great way to find out what is happening within the school for our students. Last night we spoke about the 2023 swimming program and how it is proposed to look this year!

Some key dates to note in the next week are:

• Friday May 12th – Mother’s Day Raffle Drawn at Parade; tickets on sale every morning before school in the Undercroft.
• Monday May 15th – Students are invited to wear purple to school for a gold coin donation to raise money and awareness for Domestic & Family Violence.
