Principal's Piece

Welcome to Week 2! A huge thank you to all our families for your understanding and persistence last week with the start of our learning at home process. As with all new things, there can be problems and glitches, but as the week proceeded everyone became more confident and familiar with the online learning materials. This is new for all of us, so we recognise the additional pressures placed on our families at this time and encourage you to focus on things you have control over – such as being positive and working together. We also thank all the parents for your feedback last week about what was working well and what needed improvement. We took on your feedback to make adjustments.

Our school team is working hard and dedicated to deliver the best possible education for every learner in the current situation we are all experiencing. Our Calliope staff have worked together to simplify the online materials to assist families with their online learning. The staff will also check in with parents and students each week to maintain contact with all our families.

ANZAC Day

We had many families participate in ‘Light up the Dawn’ in 2020. Even though we couldn’t meet together as a group, it was wonderful to see so many participate in ANZAC Day with their family in this new way early on Saturday morning.

Keeping Healthy

We appreciate everyone maintaining healthy practices, especially at this time. Thank you for minimising visits to the school.

Thank you to all our families for your amazing support, resilience and flexibility in these uncertain times. We are all missing seeing our students and their families each day and look forward to when we can see all your smiling faces again on site.

Regards
