Principal's Piece
We had a fantastic week one at Calliope State School. As I visit classrooms, I am asking students two questions. What is the best thing about Calliope State School? If one thing could make this school better, what would it be? Students have given various answers but common answers across classes about the best thing about our school include friends, learning, teachers, sport, oval, maths, library, robotics, creativity, school camp, tuckshop and the list goes on. It is great to see students engaged and enthusiastic about their learning.
Annual Implementation Plan
In the next couple of weeks, we will finalise our Annual Implementation Plan. The annual implementation planning process enables the school team to collaborate and bring precision to the implementation of the priorities from the school's strategic plan. It identifies the explicit improvement agenda for a short, measurable period. Collaborative annual planning provides clarity, direction and focus for the school and fosters ongoing improvement.
Bell Times
This year our morning bell times have changed slightly. Our first bell goes at 8:35am which signals students to go to the oval and the second bell goes at 9:05am which signals students go to the toilet, have a drink and move to classrooms.
Dress Code
Calliope State School’s dress code is attached to this newsletter. Each week I will take a snippet from our dress code to highlight for our students. |
